Joseph Petry (2026 OF, Suffolk, VA) was stronger and mature physically than most players at the event and that showed in his bat speed and ability to impact the ball. He has a simple and direct swing and made lots of solid pull contact while getting the ball into the air.
Brenden Brown (2027 3B, Newport News, VA) stroked some balls hard to the left center field gap once he got his timing established. The right handed hitter has good bat speed and extension through contact.
Angelo Banks (2027 MIF, Chesapeake, VA) kept his swing short and direct and well balanced, which resulted in solid line drive contact to both gaps that carried well. He projects well as he continues to add strength in the future.
Ethan Drew (2029 LHP, Hertford, NC) is a young primary pitcher with lots of growing ahead of him but he's also a potential two-way player who is a switch-hitter at the plate. His left-handed swing was especially nice and resulted in lots of hard pulled line drive contact.
Jacob Pecher (2028 OF, Chesapeake, VA) is another young athlete with lots of growing ahead of him but some present skills as a hitter. He showed very good barrel to ball skills and probably squared up more baseballs than any other hitter during BP.
RHP Grey Carter (2027 RHP, Virginia Beach, VA) has good strength in his 5-11/187 frame and uses his strength to create bat speed. He throws his hips at the ball effectively to help drive his swing and made lots of hard mid field line drive contact.
