Batting Practice Highlights
Jake Clement (2028, Cambridge, Iowa) took a good round of BP with a good whip to the hands and feel to show strength and leverage off it. He worked mostly pull-side throughout his round with good projectable actions in the box.
Evan Barr (2026, Bettendorf, Iowa) was really impressive during BP, showing an aggressive move with feel to create some length working through contact. Good bat speed with a shorter stroke to it, mostly worked to the middle of the field, and produced hard-hit line drives.
Michael Friedman (2025, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) swung it well from the left side during BP today. He showed good strength off the barrel and had some feel to leverage and drive the ball. It was a loose stroke with impact that showed, driving it well, working pull-side.
Wesley Koppes (2027, Ely, Iowa) showed good strength off the barrel, being able to pivot and turn hard through it. He worked quick to contact and produced hard-hit balls, working pull-side for the most part during his round of BP.
Eli Martin (2027, Zimmermann, Minn.) showed an aggressive move through contact with feel to be able to impact it with good strength. Showed some good jump off the barrel with whip through contact. Stayed inside it well and wanted to pull. Drove it well for a good round of swings.
Ethan Woller (2027, Elkhorn, Wisc.) was aggressive working into contact and showed some strength of the barrel with feel to create leverage. Had some feel to impact, and he worked all over the field with his best swings working back up the middle and backside.
Luke Lincoln (2030, Muscatine, Iowa) showed good whip to the hands with feel to impact and drive it well. He produced some well-struck line drives working back up the middle. Had good bat speed on display with projectable bat-to-ball skills.
Owen Marxen (2027, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) loads up deep here, turns hard, and impacts well with some strength off it and a feel to be on plane. He stays pretty balanced and impacts well with a loose stroke shown during BP.
Ezekiel Maurice (2027 Wester, Idaho) swung it from the left side with a massive frame, showing some strength off it. He had an easy stroke with some bat speed, showing the best contact working pull-side during his round of BP.
Chase McDonald (2027, Marion, Iowa) took a good round of BP, where he produced line drives working pull-side, showing some whip to the hands. Used the whole field throughout the round and was able to show some feel to lift, working pull-side for his best results.
Andre Purpura (2029, Marion, Iowa) took some loud hacks during BP, showing good strength to the middle of the field during his round. He had some good swings working the backside gap as well. Purpura took a good round of BP.
Thomas Radomski (2026, Waukesha, Wisc.) swings it well from the right side. He turns hard and can impact and show a quick bat. He drives the ball well to all fields, and his best results came working pull-side.
Jordan Schnoor (2027, Norfolk, Neb.) had a quality left-handed swing, staying shorter to it with some strength and physicality in the frame. He worked the whole field during his round and was able to produce some real good swings.
Austin Whannel (2031, Fairfax, Iowa) showed really projectable actions in the box for a ‘31. He handled the bat well with a smooth stroke and feel to impact it. He drove the ball all over the field, and he has good bat-to-ball skills that will project moving forward.
