Corless, high school teammate of 2011 Perfect Game All-American Kayden Porter, has a compact, powerful build with broad shoulders and an aggressive approach on the mound. He attacks hitters with a lively low-90s fastball, and the best attribute of the pitch is its late movement down in the zone. Corless also has good feel for a hard spinning upper-70s slider, and he also throws a changeup, with the ability to throw all three pitches for strikes.
