The tall and slender Ball is one of the top two-way players in the country and is ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2013 class by Perfect Game. He has topped out at 93 mph with his fastball with a pronounced downhill angle to the plate and throws a big mid-70s curveball. A sub 7.0 runner, Ball has lots of leverage in his swing and very good bat speed. He went 7-2, 1.40 on the mound while hitting .438 with 5 home runs during his high school season.
