With a tall, well-proportioned frame, Traver has one of the more promising and projectable pitching statures among the 2012 class. He has the ability to sit in the low-90s with his heavy fastball, and recently touched 94 with room for added velocity as he continues to add strength. He pitches downhill with an effortless and balanced delivery, and he repeats his mechanics well. Traver also throws a slider that shows good depth as well as an occasional changeup.
