Ryan Schenck is a 2023 C/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Hidden Hills, CA who attends . Strong, athletic build. 7.00 60-yd. Approaches ball well in the outfield. Uses athleticism well throughout the fielding process. Showed ability to catch the ball cleanly. Showcased a strong arm with flashes of on-line carry. Improving body control throughout will help accuracy consistency. Square, even stance in the box. Loads weight onto the backside well. Utilizes a pullside approach. Flashed some barrel control. Staying through the middle of the field would help barrel accuracy. Used tall and fall delivery on the mound with a fair amount of effort throughout. Slight upper body coil and crossfire footstrike hides the ball well. Used the fastball almost exclusively. Offering sat 77-82 mph with ride through the zone. Got ahead of hitters early. The pitch worked well when elevated. Flashed a high-60's slider with some tilt. Arm strength plays well overall on the bump. Very good student, as well.
