Griffin Troha is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Wauconda, IL who attends Mundelein. Large frame with an athletic build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.39 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, keeps the baseball in front of him before rounding it well. Clean gather with feel for the glove. Scoops it up and released quickly. Throws up to 75 mph. Accurate throws on the run. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, side-step to a higher lift in the windup. Medium arm swing releasing from a high three-quarter slot. Repeatable delivery and worked in the zone because of it. Fastball up to 76 mph with spin rates peaking at 1855 rpm. Also spun a breaking ball with vertical actions in the mid-60's. Spin rates up to 1846 rpm. Left-Handed Hitter, open front side with high hands. Working close to the plate as he strides out. Longer path while proving to have some bat speed. Some pop in the swing when he times it up properly. Great Student.
