Will Briggs is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Shakopee, MN who attends Academy Of Holy Angels. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout, additional room to fill. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, gains short ground with lower half coming out of crouch, full arm action with a longer release which he can shorten but big arm strength and carry on throws down to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a crouched, bent knee stance in the box, shifts weight through lower half nicely and with balance moving into contact. Fast stroke through the zone and turns the barrel well, swings with intent and looks to generate impact at the point of contact. Repeats swing well and ball jumps off when squared, shows comfort turning on the ball. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Purdue.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
