Ben Klitgaard is a 2026 3B/RHP/MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Iowa City, IA who attends City High. Medium build with some present athleticism and well-proportioned strength. Primary third baseman, gets a good first step on the baseball and moves to it well. Displayed clean glove actions with good lateral range to the glove-side. Releases the ball from a three-quarters arm angle with a developing ability to adjust on the run. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 77 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider stance with a high hand set-up and high back elbow. Utilizes a big hanging leg lift trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Rotates the hips with intent, turning hard to the point of contact. Generates good strength with some lift at impact. Showcased the ability to control the barrel well throughout the zone. Produced fairly consistent line drive impact to the pull-side during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 5.39 forty-yard dash. Excellent student.
