Steven Nicklas is a 2026 SS/2B/3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Scotia, NY who attends Scotia-Glenville. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, starts from a crouched stance with a tight hand load, loads to his back side and tends to stay there, has some hand speed and gets the barrel out well, mid field to pull side contact, bat speed can improve with better shift in and additional strength. 7.10 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays with energy but will get out of control at times, showed range and got to balls well, quick transfers. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
