2025 PG California Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Matthew Bias is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 173 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Liberty University Online Academy. Featuring an athletic, durable frame with room to add, Bias began the showcase running a 6.90 sixty yard dash. Has a three-pitch mix on the mound that includes fastball, curveball and changeup . Fundamentally sound with athletic actions moving down the bump. Stretch only operation throwing out of a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball and changeup both show cutting action with a curveball that has 1-7 shape and stays firm with late movement. Throws with conviction, landing everything in the zone effectively. Athletic mover in the outfield, taking quick routes to the baseball, fielding out front and working through. Clean arm and it comes out quickly and accurately. Extremely fluid mover at first base with light feet and quick turns into double plays feeds, staying accurate throughout the round. Wider base at the plate with high hands, high back elbow and excellent bat speed. Stays compact to contact while swinging with intent and staying on the barrel throughout. Creates extension with loud barrels to the pull side. Named to the 2025 PG California Workout Showcase Top Prospect List. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
