Evan Cooke is a 2023 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from West Lafayette, IN who attends West Lafayette Jr/Sr. XL frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.19 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, gains well on inline stride, active hand load with some barrel pump, strength stands way out, above average bat speed on flatter path, creates leverage and can really hammer the ball pull-side, legitimate power upside here. Moves well in the outfield, shows solid footwork and could profile in OF corner, also looked good at 1B with clean feet and hands, clocked up to 93 mph across the infield on throws. Pitched as well, worked from stretch, long stride with high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 82-88 mph with plane and good control, mixed in tumbling curveball. Big offensive upside here. Very good student, named to 2022 Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
