Carter Irons is a 2026 C/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Huntertown, IN who attends Carroll. Medium build with good present strength. 7.49 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up high in a staggered stance, tends to jump into the right hand batter's box, can improve his direction and footwork, makes accurate throws with a long and loose arm action, has the athleticism to continue to improve. Also worked out in the infield as a third baseman, has some feel for angles and working through the ball, throws well from lower slots, moved well to his backhand and got his feet set well. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with an early back stride, turns his lower half hard, can get downhill at times in his swing plane, has the strength to create some jump off the barrel, hits to all fields. Good student.
