Mitchell Wade is a 2028 3B/RHP, 2B, SS, IF, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends St. Michael. Medium, physical build with strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, corner profile with choppy footwork getting to ground balls, works around the baseball with a two hand funnel, gets the glove down early and gets it out quickly. Good arm strength across the diamond, recorded throws up to 79 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, belt high leg lift to balance out of the windup, full arm path to a high three-quarters release point. Hides the baseball well, allowing it to play up. Ran the fastball up to 86 mph (2051 RPM) with natural carry through the zone. Mixed in a slurvy curveball, up to 70 mph (2190 RPM) as the go-to out pitch. Also worked out in the outfield, under control charge in, breaks down and fields with one hand off the front foot, long gather and exchange, lower slot release with a strong arm, recorded throws up to 81 mph. Left-handed hitter, wide base with a high back elbow in the stance, simple operation with solid acceleration through the zone. Natural loft to the path with developing strength off the barrel. Great student.
