Preston Willis is a 2028 OF/RHP/C with a 5-0 115 lb. frame from Warrenton, VA who attends Kettle Run. Compact build with medium current frame and plenty of time to grow and add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.30 seconds. Primary position OF, moving very aggressively to the ball and presents the glove in good position out front to a deeper gather. Works through the ball, midline transfer to medium inline arm path building throws up to 58 mph back to the bags. Threw left-handed from the outfield. Reps on the IF and behind the dish as well throwing right-handed here. Some refinement to be had here but the fundamentals are present. Handled the slow roller well on the infield showing dexterity. Two step process behind the plate and had a pop time best 3.07 seconds with velocity on throws up to 56 mph. Secondary RHP, showing unique mechanics that work for him and create some deception with the funkiness of the operation. Stretch only and works down the slope aggressively to the plate. FB up to 57 mph. LHH working from a balanced stance and very quiet pre-pitch movement. High back elbow with good overall handset, getting to the barrel with regularity. Uses the whole field and peppered low-line drives. Power will come with time and maturity. Intriguing skill set all around.
