PJ Hamel is a 2025 C/1B, OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Sussex, WI who attends Arrowhead. Athletic build. Behind the dish, he sets up in standard crouch with soft hands that receive out front. Maintains a consistent transfer line and gets into his throwing motion quickly as he gains ground to the target. Strong arm with good accuracy to the right of the base. 1.91 pop time. In the outfield, he works with good rhythm to the fielding point. Longer exchanges but solid arm speed and strength when he gets it out. Driving it downhill to the plate and using his momentum to his advantage. Right-handed hitter, medium base and slightly open stance. Initial move is a moderate leg kick with healthy hand load that creates separation. Transfers weight well and can really impact it middle to pull. Solid strength that plays in the air. 7.24 60-yard. Great student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
