Preston Manthei is a 2025 3B/1B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Hartland, WI who attends Lake Country Lutheran High School. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, gets low and fields it out front, presents the glove cleanly and plays at the ball, three-quarters slot, firm throws across the diamond and arm plays, actions play well at the hot corner, quick release with softness to hands. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and upright stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a simple leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Turns hard through contact and incorporates strength at the point of contact, shows ability to impact. Creates some lift in swing and remains direct, additional strength to unlock and already shows solid bat speed through the zone. Excellent student.
