2022 Rocky Mountain Workout Showcase
Cole Zimmerman is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Heber City, UT who attends Wasatch. Cole has good height and a lean frame with room for added strength. He shows good footwork around the bag at first and some natural reactions to fielding and throwing the baseball. Cole has some good quickness for a bigger guy running a 7.19sec 60yd dash. Zimmerman has a very wide stance with an even base that is slightly open in the batter's box. Using a toe tap as his timing mechanism, he drops his hands some before striding forward into swing mode. The top hand is quite heavy in his swing trying to create some leverage of the baseball. Bat speed is ok but can improve. He shows good power while pulling the baseball with ability to drive it ou too the yard. Cole has some unneeded movements through his setup that can be quite down or removed to help his timing and connectivity with the upper and lower bodies. This is allow him to be more fluid and result in quicker bat speed, more power and consistency with it through contact. Cole is a very good student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
