Jack Murphy is a 2023 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends St. Joseph's. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.08 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, sitting back a bit as he presents the glove early. Clean gather as he showed off the glove work. Quick transfer and then adds an extra pat before showing off the arm. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 81 mph. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a side step to a belt high lift. Medium arm circle in the back before releasing from a higher three-quarter slot. Worked in three pitches but went to the secondaries more often than not. Fastball up to 80 mph. Mixed in a fading changeup that he landed for strikes and a breaking ball showing 11-to-5 movements. Right-Handed Hitter, even base as he works into his load. Hands get high during separation before working into a smooth, linear cut. Gets extended as he drove the baseball on a line back up the middle. Gap to gap power present as well as he tripled into the left-center gap during game actions and showed off the speed on the paths. Outstanding Student. Named to Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
