2023 Coastal Workout Showcase
Jackson Rainey is a 2025 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Eastover, NC who attends Cape Fear. Some length to his frame and wiry muscularity to go with plenty of remaining projection. Primary position IF, showing some mobility and lateral range sticking his nose on the ball. Hands work well, showing smooth actions and softness at contact with the ball. Good funnel to quick, midline transfer putting him in good position to throw. Strong accurate throws up to 76 mph across the diamond. Handled the slow roller quite well, showing dexterity and quick release. RHH with a wider and slightly open stance, sitting in his legs a bit. Good handset to start and hands are very active in the swing. Pull oriented approach with some length to extension and emerging overall strength that will add to power output in the near future. Outstanding in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
