2022 South Top Prospect Games @ Texas A&M
Rodney Haywood is a 2024 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Red Oak. Medium frame with a strong athletic build. Primary outfielder, very good athlete at the position and runs well, fluid to and through the ball with a big arm, clocked up to 90 mph on strong accurate throws, intriguing defensive profile. Also pitches, simple delivery with a compact release, up to 84 with the fastball showing some sink to get to the bottom of the zone, can sequence the breaking ball well and will miss the occasional bat with it. Right-handed hitter, wide base and lets the hands work, lots of quickness to the process and swings it hard, able to clear the front side and get the barrel turned over, strong impact off the barrel when squared, has some inconsistency with the barrel accuracy but real foundation of quickness and strength. Named to South TP Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
