Randy Fuqua is a 2025 RHP/C/IF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Johnston City, IL. Long and lean prototypical pitcher's build with lots of physical projection ahead of him. Big side step/high leg raise delivery, over the top arm slot, short stride out front, not consistent yet in timing his arm stroke from the wind up. Fastball topped out at 77 mph from the wind up with big downhill angle when he stays on top, loses some velocity from the stretch but with much simpler mechanics and better command. Curveball with a knuckle curveball grip flashed nice spin and good depth at times with a 12/6 downer shape, also threw a change up. 8.20 runner in the sixty. Played catcher and the infield in drills, profiles as a third baseman defensively moving forward, showed his arm strength well. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a deep hand load, pretty simple and repeatable swing mechanics, line drive swing plane, has some power potential with additional strength. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
