Cannon Ashmore is a 2025 3B/RHP/C with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Marion, IL who attends Johnston City. Lean athletic build with plenty of physical projectability. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a still hand start, has some hand quickness and gets the bat stared well, can use his lower half more to help generate bat speed, works gap to gap with a line drive swing, good base swing to build off of as he gets stronger. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder on defense, moves well laterally and has good lower half actions, long over the top arm action and makes soft accurate throws. Also pitched, has the same deep over the top arm action, slow paced delivery with a short stride out front. Fastball worked up to 67 mph to go with a soft curveball from a lower slot, threw strikes. Developing more flexibility in his arm will be key to his development, will have plenty of athleticism as he gets stronger. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
