Jose Borrego is a 2026 OF/RHP, C, UT with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Apple Valley, CA who attends Sultana. Features a medium, athletic frame with a sturdy lower half. Ran a 6.79 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder showing proper technique and footwork. Quick to the ball, fields it out front and works through into a downhill delivery. Quick arm with long arm action and outfield velocity up to 90. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a deceptive crossfire delivery as the ball jumps out the hand. Athletic, downhill mover with big lower half drive to extension. Spins a firm slider at 2400+ RPM with sweeping action. Really clean operation overall. Medium base at the plate with a high back elbow. Compact to contact with real bat speed and up the middle juice. Stays on the barrel with consistency and can use the whole field.
