Gino Trippy is a 2024 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Auburn, WA who attends Auburn Mountainview. The frame has width and strength currently and can keep improving in the short term. 8.21 60-yd. Defensively worked wide with the hips and showing the ability to funnel and get the ball out of the glove well. Moved better to the glove-side allowing his feet to set and make throws; arm accuracy will need to improve. Offensively it's an even hands stance seeing a big frontside lift and drop using his pre-pitch rhythm to get him started. Rotates well allowing him to elevate when on time. From the hill worked for the hands at the chin and down on wider step and pause. Quick leg lift and tuck staying compact as actions speed up into the short closed foot stride. Compact and high back elbow arm gets to the 3/4 slot showing effort out front. Fastball was best to the glove side and the long 11/4 curveball showed a short and tight overhand bend.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
