Mason Knott is a 2029 3B/RHP/C with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Works from a medium high-waisted frame with some physical upside. Right-handed pitcher, utilizes a subtle leg lift prior to gliding down the mound while working into a shorter arm stroke. Fastball plays true with gravitational depth, induced weak contact with it and topped it out at 60 mph. Mixed in a bigger 12-6 curveball to disrupt hitters’ timing. From behind the dish, starts in a high and squared stance, utilizes a lengthy midline transfer and releases the baseball from just behind the ear. Recorded arm strength up to 61 mph with a pop time of 2.47. From the outfield, attacked the baseball with urgency and the glove out in front, worked into a medium arm path. Creates some decent carry on the throws and kept them inline, recorded arm strength up to 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wide base with a high back elbow, utilizes a striding load. Limited bat speed and barrel control, will continue to progress with physical maturity and added strength, recorded an exit velocity of 64 mph. Ran a 7.57 sixty-yard dash.
