Gabriel Basile is a 2024 2B/UT with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Recorded a 6.95 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with plenty of room to fill out and physically mature. Primary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates anticipatory footwork into the fielding process, while fielding slightly deep. Displayed good lateral range to either side, some adjustability with his glove and used extra steps into a lower arm slot to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even base with a tight hand set, high back elbow and quick leg lift trigger. Simple, repeatable stroke with quickness to his hands, consistent bat-to-ball skills and occasional line drive impact to the middle-of-the field. Will continue to improve with more lower half usage and additional strength. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
