Abe Herchenbach is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Elkhorn, WI who attends Elkhorn. Large frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.91 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, easy and athletic delivery with fluid arm stroke, releases from 3/4 slot, good tempo to delivery, fastball worked 84-85 mph with heavy sinking life, good command to both sides of the plate, flashes curveball with big sweeping action, high upside on the mound. Worked out in the outfield, quick feet with fluidity to movements, developing hand actions/feel for angles, clocked up to 90 mph on throws. Hits from even and upright stance with low back elbow, rotational with feet moving throughout swing, gets on plane well and shows impact out front, projectable hitting tools. Very good student, named to 2023 Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
