Ethan Hinson is a 2025 C/3B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Burns, TN who attends Dickson County. Good athletic build with some present strength and a lot of time to add more. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Primary position C, working from a game like, deep set position and square to the plate. Works glove nicely out front and showed some softness, securing ball with ease. Quick midline transfer, gaining ground with footwork and getting inline to short arm action throws. Put the ball on the bag with regularity and showed 70 mph pops with 2.25 for his best time. RHH with a tall rigid start and high leg lift to get started, letting hands drift to the backside before accelerating to contact. Inconsistent with the barrel early in round but got better as he went and showed real pull side juice late. The strength is present just needs to work on timing a bit and it will all synch up more regularly. Young prospect with a good chance to be impact player behind the plate. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
