Jariel Ortiz is a 2025 OF/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Methuen, MA who attends Sports Academy. Medium frame with long, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.88 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with narrow base, leg lift trigger, lengthy entry path that tends to work downhill, whole-field approach, flashes some strength when square, projects for more power. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well and fields off to side, multiple extraneous steps into release, clocked up to 81 mph on throws. Also took 1B reps and was clocked up to 79 mph across the diamond. Good student.
