Jacob Vitek is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Glendale, AZ who attends Apollo. Features a medium, athletic build. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Showcased good athleticism behind the place. Quick feet and a fluid transfer leads to accurate throws. Recorded a 1.95 pop time. Worked out at first base as well. Can make the routine play. Displays sound actions with clean double play feeds consistently. Reached 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance. Gathers weight on the backside with good rhythm. Can get the barrel out front and do damage to the pullside pullside. Has some power potential that way. Right-handed pitcher. Uses slight drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a shorter arm action. Fastball sat 75-80 mph with cut action. Slider at 65-69 mph showed short, slurve action. Can get some depth on it when spun well. Very good student.
