Brock Mayer is a 2022 RHP/UT with a 6-1 193 lb. frame from Torrance, CA who attends Torrance. Large frame with some width and strength on the frame. 7.61 60-yd. A multi-positioned player who has a bevy of good tools. The infield skills showed the lateral actions and ability to move in space for a third-base profile. The arm was quick and accurate playing well on the move. In the outfield showed solid glove skills and worked in time allowing throws to be accurate to the bags. Offensively, it's a simple stance wide with even hands a quick bat. The bat worked level through the zone able to meet the plane of pitches and showed strength on the barrel with the ability to pull it with authority. On the mound, it's a full, overhead delivery with a high front knee before using the lower half strength to get down the hill. Finished with intent over the front side and able to utilize the full-arm swing through the 3/4 release. Fastball (up to 79 MPH) sinks and showed angle to the glove side. The curveball worked with a 12/6 shape and big length in its actions. The change-up was a good third pitch with sink-off the fastball look. The frame is strong and there's upside available in the raw tool. Very strong student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
