Nathan Chavez is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Arlington. Features a medium frame with present athleticism. In the OF, exhibited smooth actions showing easy glove work while working through the baseball with speed/urgency. Showed present glove-to-hand quickness while creating good momentum into his throws. Arm worked long/loose out the glove showing above. avg strength topping out at 91mph with accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a wider base with higher set hands. Uses a smaller leg lift trigger that works to balance at footstrike. It’s a simple/compact stroke where he just lets his hands work that flashed some quickness to the baseball. Showed an all-fields approach throughout his round. On the mound, he side steps into a belt high knee tuck that he syncs well with a drop into his driveleg. More drop/drive type lower half that works smooth down the mound with balance. Arm works loose/continuous throughout the action and to release. Fastball worked up 85 showing some natural armside run. Mixed in a slider in the mid 70s that showed quality sweeping shape and a depthy changeup as well. Verbal commitment to Cal Baptist University.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
