Royce Johnson is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Leclaire, IA who attends Pleasant Valley. Recorded a 8.97 second 60 yard dash time. Extra large frame with a strong and stout build. Primary third baseman with present feel for the glove, receives well and shows soft hands. Shows choppy footwork and limited range, developing accuracy on the throws, will continue to get better as his quickness and agility improves. Secondary right-handed pitcher that throws from an over the top slot. Struggled to repeat the delivery at times, command was limited as a result. Fastball flashed some slight cutting action on occasion, also showed a deep 12-6 breaker that had some bite to it. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and even stance. Utilizes a high hand set and a simple leg lift trigger, weight tends to leak forward too early, occasionally drifts over the front side. Flat bat path with developing bat speed, will improve as the operation becomes more consistent. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
