Kurt Johnson is a 2023 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Lake Ronkonkoma, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Johnson works from a young build with lots of room to add strength and fill out. In the OF, he successfully got behind the ball well and put himself in good positions to throw from a compact arm action. On the bump, the righty worked exclusively from the stretch with a coiled leg lift that got downhill well and held velocity throughout his two inning appearance. Offensively, Johnson starts from a slightly open stance with high hands and a hover trigger that produces consistent contact from gap to gap. He flashes bat speed through the zone and keeps the hands compact inside the baseball. Ran a 7.17 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
