Brian Grant Jr. is a 2026 1B/3B with a 6-0 215 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Katy. Primary CIF with a physical frame. Thick and strong build. Was most comfortable around first as he works around the bag with good athleticism. Showed good hands for receiving and fielded everything cleanly. Will just need to work on quickening up the overall process getting the ball out. Has a strong arm and was up to 81 from first. Also ran a 7.02 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open base and low elbow set. Gets into his lower half well and can keep the weight back. Clears hips well and rotates hard. Explosive bat speed on full display with big time power projection. Will overswing and lose balance at times but when he is on it, can impact it like anyone. Ball comes off his barrel hot and carries with big strength at impact. Power projects. Good student. Named to the National South Showcase Top Prospect List.
