Luke Armijo is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends Mater Dei. Taller height with lots of length and excellent projection remaining in the body. Ran a 7.54 in the sixty yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher, good tempo and rhythm to the delivery. Uses a hip coil and maintains the coil through foot strike. Lots of intent at release and already showing mid-80s fastball ranges. Really tough lower slot release with heavy arm side run. The sweeping breaking ball has a lot of horizontal movement and real swing and miss potential. Landed a couple change ups as the outing continued that also showed good traits. Tons of upside with ability to miss barrels in a hurry. Also worked out at first base and displayed the arm strength there as well. He also has feel around the bag and the ability to pick it in the dirt. A left-handed hitter, uses a small weight shift and keeps the hands back. Generates a lot of speed during his his turn and has big intent to the ball. Gets the head out and looks to barrel balls hard to the pull side. Easy power potential here. Very high ceiling on both sides of the ball.
