Ty Lane is a 2027 C/RHP/UT with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Duncan, OK who attends Comanche. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build, projects well. Ran a 7.77 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, athletic setup and works hard through the ball, short transfers and gets rid of it quick with a quick arm, good strength on his throws and good catching tools. Can play some infield and outfield too, athletic at both spots and works to and through the ball well, mid-70s arm strength stood out. Pitches too, some polish to the delivery, quick arm and sat it in the low-70s, plays up from how well he hides it, sinks it some too, showed good sink on the changeup and competes with the fastball. Right-handed, balanced and athletic process, quick bat working tight through the zone and slightly uphill, hand speed present and turn the barrel through tight, produced strong contact to the pull side, good hitting tools. Named to 2022 13/14 Fall South Top Prospect List.
