Ross Putnam is a 2024 RHP/2B/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Bluffton, SC who attends John Paul II Catholic. Long and lean high waisted build with lots of room to get stronger. Full wind up with a big side step start, uses his lower half well getting down the mound, full arm circle in back, high 3/4's arm slot, solid ability to repeat his mechanics. Primary fastball pitcher, worked mostly in the mid 70's while topping out at 79 mph early, has good command of his fastball and attacked hitters with it while creating some swing and miss. Breaking ball was more of a slurve with sweeping shape and occasional horizontal depth. Flashed a change up that should keep improving. Projectable young pitcher who will keep improving as he gets stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
