Ben Luck is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Asheboro, NC who attends Asheboro. Tall and extra lean with a lot of time and opportunity to fill out and add strength. Showed promising foot speed with a 7.17 in the 60 yard dash. Primary position OF working with two hands to field the ball and worked through it methodically. Put quite a bit of air under the ball on his throws that registered at 72 mph from the outfield. Needs to refine his footwork and synch up his mechanics to maximize his capabilities defensively. Left handed hitter working from an open stance and utilizing a double toe tap to create his lower body load. Flashed some hand quickness and barrel control, tends to work around the ball. Starts with hands high and lifts back elbow before working to get barrel in slot. As he simplifies his mechanics over time he will drive the ball with more consistency, fulfilling his potential. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
