Brock Simpson is a 2029 C/RHP/UT with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Fitzgerald, GA who attends Irwin County. Medium athletic build. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, game actions in drills, has good flow from receiving into his exchange into his throws, makes accurate throws, polished thrower with some young arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a short stride into contact, swings hard but stays short and direct to the ball, line drive swing plane, ball comes off the barrel hard, showed strength in his hands and promising bat speed. Took a turn on the mound, has an athletic delivery with good use of his lower half, moves down the mound well with good extension at release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some riding action up in the zone, hitters were consistently late on the fastball. Also threw a soft slider and a change up with short fading life.
