Shane Sweeney is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Bunnlevel, NC who attends Western Harnett. Taller and filled out body with current strength. Ran an 8.14 in sixty yard dash. A primary pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch with a compact arm action and low elbow leading to a 3/4 release. Gets late arm side run and life to the fastball. Solid downer break on the curveball and the changeup has good sinking action and plays off the fastball well. A secondary infielder, stays under control and sets his feet with the glove being used for timing. In line set to the bases and excellent accuracy across the diamond. A right-handed hitter, starts with an open base and uses a vertical bat angle to lift and pull. Strength to the swing and core. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
