Jackson Steele is a 2023 MIF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Louisville, NE who attends Bellevue West. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Switch-hitter at the plate. Hits from a full wind up into his swing right handed, is very aggressive from this side and creates very good raw bat speed, was on time and made hard pull line drive contact. Left handed swing was more closed and under control, overall a smoother swing with a bit less raw bat speed but better balance and extension through the ball. Next level switch-hitting ability 7.29 runner in the sixty Has good footwork in the middle infield on defense, puts himself in good position to field the ball cleanly and make accurate throws, advanced backhand for players this age. Also pitched, gets coiled above the rubber well and rides his back side down the mound, athletic delivery that he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, velocity plays up has he hides the ball well, gets some late cutting life at times. Also threw a mid-60's curveball. Good student. Named to the North Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
