LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 13U/14U Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Ryan Samoff is a 2026 C/3B/SS with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Hardin-Jefferson. From his primary spot behind the dish, Samoff showcased clean actions with some bounce in the step that gained ground towards second. There's quick twitch present here with room to continue adding arm strength in the future. Posted a 2.30 pop time. From the IF, Samoff flashed smooth glove work and released quickly across the diamond, topping out at 69 mph. Offensively, the left handed hitter timed up pitches successfully with lots of weight on the back side pre pitch. He extended nicely through contact and posted an exit velocity of 66 mph. Expect power potential to become more of a factor as the frame develops. Ran a 8.07 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
