Carter Hinsley is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Ooltewah, TN who attends Boyd Buchanan. Tall and lean frame with a high waist and long levers. Primary left-handed pitcher, works from a full windup, starts on the first base side of the rubberside steps to a higher leg lift and balances, drop and drive mechanics, full arm swing in the back to a higher release point. Creates good carry on the fastball and worked in the low-80s, up to 82 mph (2265 RPM). Fastball has natural arm-side run to it. Curveball had 1-7 shape and showed late depth, up to 71 mph (1797 RPM). Also flashed a changeup to right-handed hitters with usual fading action, up to 71 mph (1664 RPM). Good present stuff with a lot to project on down the road. Good student.
