Alex Dietrich is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Rapid City, SD. Large, square shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a high set behind the plate during drills, receives the ball out front and gains some ground, shorter arm action on throws down to second base, gets tall at release and can incorporate additional footwork into actions, arm strength will continue to develop. Proper footwork around the first base bag, similar short arm action, fields the ball out front and funnels into midline on transfer. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing at the plate. Longer swing path through the zone and looks to generate leverage out front at the point of contact. Rotational swing, gets the barrel through the zone and is able to work to all fields, will continue to unlock more bat speed with added strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
