Cord Copley is a 2023 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Logos Preparatory Academy. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.29 runner in the sixty. Versatile player on defense, showed solid tools both in the infield and behind the plate. Has loose athletic actions as a catcher, stays low and has lower body life, repeats his footwork well, tends to swing his exchange but has good quickness in his release and makes accurate throws. Solid footwork in the infield with good hands and a quick release, can get his glove down early to the ball, makes accurate throws with some carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight spread stance with a short well-timed stride into contact, middle of the field line drive approach, stays short and direct and on time. Also pitched, slow paced under control delivery with a leg raise and tuck start, 3/4's arm slot and will get a bit lower at times. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, gets some flat running life at times and good sink at the lower velocities. Slider was a solid second pitch with some sweeping depth. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
