Zach Amezcua is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from St.Louis, MO who attends Parkway Central. Recorded a 7.53 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame, compact and sturdy build with present strength. Primary catcher with a square and high set up. Quick hands and transfers with some explosiveness out of the chute. Tends to stand straight up to throw, will improve as he stays low and gains ground throughout the process. Compact arm circle with some speed, some things to clean up but has a good chance to improve moving forward. Right-handed hitter with a square and balanced stance, utilizes a smaller leg lift trigger. Separates well and looks to lift/elevate, long swing with a lofted path. Aggressive approach overall, swings with high intent and present bat speed. Showed a middle to pull side approach, engages his lower half well throughout the swing, found some hard barrels during his round. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
