Jimmy Nichols is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Hazlet, NJ who attends Raritan. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. 7.92 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes through the ball well with good direction into his release, pulls down hard on release, makes accurate on line throws, played with energy. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow straight stance with a simple load and stride into contact, trigger can be late at times, line drive swing plane, will improve as his timing improves. Also pitched, has a controlled and slow lag raise start with a hard hip turn and energy down the mound, slow to fast mechanics, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph and was mostly straight. Slider was his best pitch and he threw it often and for strikes with some nice two-plane shape and depth.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
