2022 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Alonso Andrade is a 2024 1B/3B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Bonita Vista Senior High School. Solid framed corner infielder that showed usable strength at the dish. He sets up with an even base and heel raise load. The path is linear to and through impact. He displays quality bat speed and approach geared toward the pull side. In the infield, He employs average arm strength with some accuracy on the throws across. Showed ability to come get the short hop with sound glove work. On the mound, he operates with hybrid delivery and slight drop and drive mechanics. The slot is high three-quarters that produced some arm side run in on the right handed bat. The breaker showed short sliding break but had no problem inducing weak contact. 8.05 60-yard. Good student.
